Northern California

Northern California has so much to offer as home to world renowned wine country, the farm-to-table movement, the hub of entrepreneurship, and incomparable nature.

Highway 1 will stun you with hours worth of majestic trees and cliffs that showcase the most beautiful parts of California. In Santa Cruz, you can see the Big Basin Redwoods State Park that has over 10,000 acres of Redwood trees and prospering wildlife. Napa Valley and Sonoma County offer hundreds of local wineries and cultural attractions, while Santa Rosa has become a major destination for microbreweries.

Mountain View is named for its views of the Santa Cruz Mountains, and it is a major tech company hub home to companies such as Google, with a bustling downtown of unique shops and restaurants as well. The city is also home to Shoreline, a 750-acre plot of land that encompasses hiking trails, an outdoor amphitheater, and an 18-hole championship golf course.

San Francisco is the most famous city in Northern California; it has beautiful parks located on over 80,000 acres in the Golden Gate National Recreational Area, the infamous Alcatraz prison, and the city itself is full of a lively energy and culture. Trolleys can take you up and down San Francisco’s historic hills where you can explore the tech hub, famous museums, parks, and dining experiences.

Central Coast

The Central Coast of California is beloved to all that live there and visit for its charm and beauty, from its beaches to the mountains to acres of wineries.

The city of San Luis Obispo offers beautiful hills with gorgeous lookout points and hikes as well as a lively downtown full of unique small businesses and mom & pop’s. There are many quality microbreweries local to SLO, and just a short drive away is Paso Robles which is known for its stellar wineries.

Also nearby are Pismo Beach and Avila Beach, which are perfect for a relaxing beach day with local dining options, with Avila Beach Golf Resort nearby. Farther up is Montana De Oro State Park which has the most incredible sunset views and bluff trails on top of the cliffs. In Morro Bay you can kayak amongst otters or just enjoy the sea view while enjoying great cuisine and shops. Up in the mountains in the heart of San Simeon State Park sits the very famous and historic Hearst Castle that can be toured in all of its luxury.

Farther south, Solvang offers many well-known wineries and a very unique town where the abundant shops and restaurants are all based on Dutch architecture and design. Below Solvang is Santa Barbara, where you can enjoy even more epic wineries, tour the coastline on bikes, walk through botanical gardens, and enjoy the vibrant downtown shops and dining on State Street.

Southern California

Southern California has a large wealth of attractions and experiences to offer. A drive up the Pacific Coast Highway will take you all over the California coast and provide incredible views of the iconic California beaches.

While Los Angeles is known for its glamor and major amusement parks, there is so much beyond that to experience. It is home to some of the most famous museums in the world, such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. You can also experience out-of-this-world views at the Griffith Observatory that looks over LA, has a close up view of the infamous Hollywood sign, and has telescopes and exhibits for visitors to see the wonders of space. LA has the most unique dining unlike anywhere else, many incredible beaches and piers, outstanding hikes, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame and LA Movie Studio Tours for Hollywood fans.

A little bit farther south there is the Temecula Valley that is superb for wine tasting, as they grow grapes for over 50 types of wine. Even farther south takes us to San Diego, which is perfect for relaxing or for the adventurous spirit.

Some fun activities include visiting the San Diego Zoo which was voted the number one zoo on the planet, water activities such as diving, kayaking, and snorkeling, and even paragliding in Torrey Pines. If you prefer a mellow trip, San Diego is home to stunning parks and harbor fronts that are must-sees, relaxing beaches, unmatched Mexican food, beautiful museums, and not to mention the prestigious 36-hole municipal golf centre at Torrey Pines.
